       For my calligram I used an outline sketch of a picture of me and my father when I was younger. There is kind of a double meaning of why I used this picture, because in my letter I was talking about my father a lot. But, I was also talking about about myself asking myself how I am going to be in 20 years from now when I am all grown up and have a family. So I was trying to portray the outline of me and my father, as my younger self and older self. I created this image by  uploading my drawing and just used the pen tool to trace it, and filled it in with the text of my letter.      I feel like one of the most important components to an illustration is texture, when texture is incorporated it can bring the picture to life. When I would draw the most critical part of drawing was bringing your piece to life with texture. With pen or anything you could draw with on paper it was much simpler, but on the computer I want to learn how to implement good realistic textures to my pieces.       One thing I want to get good at is incorporating letters into my art work. I feel like the right amount of wording and letters can really bring certain pieces of original art together. Something I love creating are graphic designs, like something that could be on a piece of clothing. After college that is something I want to do and have a passion for is fashion, I love seeing all the unique graphics online.        My name is Will, I'm from Massachusetts, around 45 minutes north of Boston. My hobbies are hanging with my friends, sports such as baseball, and basketball, and drawing. I came to University of Tampa undecided, but I want to pursue graphic design or Exercise Science. Very different fields but I never really knew what I wanted after high school so I want to try and pursue either one of my favorite hobbies.       My first impressions are this class are positive, the class is talkative which is better than sitting in awkward silence like in my other classes. I've always loved art, so I think this is the class for me. I also like this class because it seems very hands on unlike my other classes which is mostly taking notes. What I really what to get out of this class is how digital art works and to understand the software, because this is something I want to pursue as a career when I am older.
