Internet / WWW

The internet is a global network of interconnect computers and computer networks, these make it able for information and data to travel across the world. The internet was created by two computer scientists, Bob Kahn, and Vinton Cerf. Originally, the internet was primarily used for military and academic research, making it able for scientists collaborate and share resources through the internet. However, as it evolved, it became accessible to the public with the invention of the world wide web in 1989. Currently, the internet is the most vital parts to peoples lives. It makes us able to communicate with family, our teachers, our co-workers, etc...

The World Wide Web, is a bunch of interconnected documents, and different websites with all different information on them shared via local servers. The World Wide Web was created in 1989 by a British computer scientist named Tim Berners-Lee. The way it was being used in the past versus today is very similar, it is just how the World Wide Web evolved and became easier and more efficient to use.

The internet and are very similar but different at the same time. The internet is the base of which all of our electronics run on. the World Wide Web is a whole different application that is being used by internet to run its system. So, many people can connect similarities to Internet and World Wide Web, but they are very different things if you look deeper into it.

The first website ever created was called "info.cern.ch" it was created by Tim Berners-Lee in 1993 while he was working at CERN. This website served as the foundation for the World Wide Web, providing information about the web and how to use it. While the original website is no longer available in its original form, CERN has worked worked to preserve the significance of the website. The link for the website is https://info.cern.ch/.

Wi-Fi / Bluetooth and Lamarr

Hedy Lamarr was a famous American-Australian actress and inventor, and her connection with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth was being the co-inventor of frequency hopping. Frequency hopping is a method of transmitting radio signals rapidly among several frequency channels. This technology became one of the foundation concepts for modern wireless communication. Which ended up giving us Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Bluetooth technology was developed in 1994 by engineers at Ericsson, a Swedish telecommunications company. The name Bluetooth was from the Danish king, Harold "Bluetooth" Gormosson, who was known for strengthening communication and uniting tribes. The logo is the Nordic ruin H and B combined honoring King Harold Bluetooth. What King Harold was known for symbolizes the technologies purpose too, uniting various devices and enabling wireless communications.

"Wi-Fi" which is short for wireless fidelity, was founded by a group of engineers at IEEE in the late 1990's. The original name for Wi-Fi was going to be IEEE 802.11b Direct Sequence, but it was later changed to Wi-Fi by a consulting firm called Interbrand. The name check I think personally was a good choice the short catch name and the weird way of spelling it really catches peoples eye when they see it.
